WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO SEALCOATING MY DRIVEWAY?

back

Hand brushed sealcoating ensures various benefits pretaining to the lifespan of your driveway to include: precision application, better penetration, advanced adhesion, improved aesthetics and customization of coat thickness as needed per your driveways specific needs.

Spray sealcoating is applied quickly but may result in uneven coverage, while hand brushed sealcoating offers precise application for better protection and aesthetics.

Overall, hand brushed asphalt sealcoating provides superior coverage, penetration, adhesion, and aesthetics compared to spraying, making it a preferred choice for ensuring the longevity and visual appeal of your driveway.

WHY DOES APEX HAND-BRUSH SEALCOATING VS. SPRAYING?

back

With proper maintenance and adherence to best practices, a hand brushed sealcoating on your asphalt driveway can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years or even longer.

There are often environmental factors that can cause this span to vary so Apex recommends an annual maintenance seal coating for those that want to properly protect their driveway for the long term.

Regular maintenance, such as keeping the surface clean, addressing any minor issues promptly, and reapplying sealcoat as needed, will help maximize its lifespan and effectiveness.

The sealcoating product manufacturer recommends two coats for longer lasting quality and aesthetic.

HOW LONG SHOULD MY SEALCOATING LAST IF I FOLLOW APEX'S AFTERCARE TIPS?

back

Drying times vary depending on factors like weather and sealant type, but it typically takes 24 hours to walk on the driveway, and 48 hours to drive on your driveway after curing completely.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL I CAN DRIVE ON MY DRIVEWAY AFTER?

back

Sealcoating is primarily a preventative measure and may not effectively repair existing cracks and potholes. These should be addressed separately.

Please visit our About section to learn more about expectations regarding crackfill.

When we come out to provide your estimate, we will evaluate any cracks or holes that may need to be filled before sealcoating is recommended and can provide that service as needed to ensure your sealcoating lasts and looks its absolute best upon completion!
